DIY: Miu Miu 'Noir' glitter sunglasses

I think it's fair to say that Miu Miu create the best sunglasses! In November, I almost asked for a pair of their gold 'Culte' sunglasses for my 18th, after falling head over heals in love with the quirky pentagonal frame...

They've since released their 'Noir' glitter sunglasses, that have been calling me and become a staple in Miranda Kerr's wardrobe...
But, at £225 a pop, I'm still dreaming of the day I'll own a pair. In the meantime, I've put into practice everything Blue Peter taught me & got my creative juices flowing!

You will need:
- A pair of cheap sunglasses (mine were £2 from Primark)
- PVA glue
- Glitter
- A paintbrush
- Sellotape
- Scissors
- A plastic plate
-  Newspaper
- Varnish

First, cover the lenses with tape - unless you want to see the world through psychedelic glitter lenses, in which case skip this step.

Next, choose your glitter colour of choice and mix in with the PVA.

Now comes the fun part: Paint the frame with 2-3 coats of the glitter glue! Leave the sunnies to dry, then remove the sellotape.

The final step, varnishing the sunglasses, is optional. I just applied two coats of Rimmel's clear nail varnish, which left them with a glossy tint.

And there you have your own pair of Miu Miu inspired sunglasses for under £15! I'm already counting down the days until summer...
