Darling, It's Better Down Where It's Wetter

These charming Charlotte Olympia accessories are amping me up for summer.

The nautical colour pallet and creatures remind me of the backdrop to many of my younger year birthday parties. Anyone who grew up in Corfu during the late nineties will know exactly where this was:

According to Charlotte, her SS18 collection is heavily inspired by the 1952 movie Million Dollar Mermaid:

I also adore how to compliment her mermaid theme, she's redesigned her iconic leopard tail logo to mimic a tentacle. Fan-bloody-tastic!

I actually brushed past a heavily pregnant Charlotte Olympia down Burlington Arcade during a blizzard in December. She was just as glamorous as you'd imagine, the location I spotted her in says it all.

Bless My Soul Herc Was On A Roll

I've always adored Ancient Greek Sandals, especially their uber cool wing design.

As you can imagine I was thrilled to hear that this summer they've joined forces with designer Fabrizio Viti to create this adorable daisy capsule collection:

VERY Jackie O...

The first thing I'm going to do when summer (finally) arrives and I find myself in Corfu town is head to Mezzo Mezzo and pray to the ancient Greek gods that they have my size. I'm still gutted that I missed their monogramming event:

You Rock My Socks

My news feed was lit up this morning by Maya the cat raising awareness for world downs syndrome day. You know the drill!

Bird of Paradise

Although today marks the first day of spring, I'm already dead giddy about summer. Duran Duran's vivid music video for Rio always gets me in the mood...

I need to get me a thigh sheath for summer. After all, summer is loading.

Crazy For Swayze

Can we all take a moment to appreciate Drew Barrymore radiating uber positive vibes teaming this pinstripe suit with a Dirty Dancing t-shirt, love heart glasses and skyscraper heels. Oh and if we didn't already love her enough, she's also sporting a 'you are strong' clutch.

Let us also not forget this iconic footage of Drew & Jimmy Fallon reenacting the classic Dirty Dancing scene. The ultimate mega babe.

Ready, Set, BUY

It seems like Bad Gal Riri's groundbreaking NYFW show was a lifetime ago, but finally you can get your mitts on Fenty X Puma SS18 collection. If the thrilling catwalk didn't tempt you, here's some recent shots that'll do the trick, I mean:

Bonkers

After a rough day there's nothing quite like a hearty neon orange soup.

Carrot-Coconut Soup

Ingredients: 1/4 cup unsalted butter / 1 pound carrots / 1 medium onion / salt & pepper / 2 cups chicken broth / can of unsweetened coconut milk / 2 tbsp chilli sauce / coriander leaves

#1 Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add carrots and onion, season with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring often, until carrots are softened, 15-20 minutes. Stir in broth, coconut milk, and 2 tbsp chilli sauce.

#2 Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are very soft and liquid is slightly reduced, 40-45 minutes.

#3 Let soup cool slightly, then purée in a blender until smooth. Reheat in a clean saucepan, thinning with water to desired consistency; season with salt and pepper.

#4 Divide soup among bowls, drizzle with chilli sauce, and top with coriander.

Bone apple tea!

Heigh-Ho Heigh-Ho

Tonight is a very special night as my folks are heading here to London as my brother Billy is accepting his certificate of appraisal theory. I can't believe it's already been seven years since I was last at the Goldsmith's hall for his NAJ graduation ceremony. My family have been in the jewellery industry for generations so it's such an honour to see my brother thrive.

Goldsmiths' Hall, London. Winter 2011.

I'm beaming with pride!
