Bibbidi-Bobbidi Bits & Bobs #15

RiRi x Dior campaign for her début sunglasses range has had me drooooooling!

It's been just over a month since our dearly beloved left us and I'm still jamming to his albums all day 'ery day. Here is an interview from 1998 with the one and only scary spice (the BEST spice... jus sayin!). To any eagle eyed viewers, check out the cosmic crescent moon ear cuff Prince is sporting during the interview ~ ions ahead of his time! Also, check out 19:13 in and how Mel's hair GLITTERS... oh the '90s!

There's been a few articles I've read recently that have tickled me and this one in particular I adore. Six people from different walks of life are interviewed who have one thing in common: punk. They each share their reflections on their former wild days and how their life has vastly changed. It was such a joy to read and I love the concept that punk is a mindset.

"...so in the meantime I went to work in Harrods with green makeup on."

As I've finished my final year at uni I've been thinking about my next few steps and all signs point to travelling. It's articles like this - titled 'I ran a Scottish bookshop and you can too' - that give me wanderlust. Props to the writer, Dan, who had me giggling and getting strange looks on the DLR!

" I greet them with a friendly hello, which may come as a surprise to all who know me. But that’s who I am in Wigtown."

It's also pretty hysterical that the owner once shot a kindle which he believed "improved" it and has since had framed in the bookshop. I've bookmarked the article and am hoping to make a wee trip up to Scotland once they have some spare days (their bookings are currently jam packed till 2018) ~ fingers crossed I'll bump into Nanette!

"He’s interrupted by a man who walks in, looks us both up and down, and shouts, “POETRY?!” Shaun points to the back of the room."

How groovy is this solar system bike ride in Santa Barbara?! The scale model of the solar system is such a wonderful way for folks to visualise how vast it really is....

Did anyone else 'get a twig or a branch in their eye' watching this poignant short film?

I saw this fascinating YT video recently which explores what makes a story relatable, focusing on Pixar. If anyone (like me) is curious on what the rest of the rules are, you can find them here.

There was so many showstoppers at this year's Met Gala but I had to share my favourite. I LOVED the futuristic theme and think that Gigi & Zayn nailed it.

Gigi's knuckle duster rings and glitter silver parting were mesmerising. Don't even get me started on Zayn's armour ~ reminded me of a modern day Romeo Montague...

Honorary mention to Katy Perry's black lipstick and blue mascara combo. I wish I could get my paws  (I'm so punny) on her new Covergirl Katy Kat matte lipstick in the shade perry panther!

It wouldn't be a #BBB&B without a ridiculously optimistic wishlist ~ there's some right corkers today!

I've been listening to RHCP's The Getaway and Dark Necessities like there's no tomorrow. I CAN'T WAIT for their new album to drop on 17th!

A May December might not be so smart...

Corinne Bailey Rae is also back with her new 'the heart speaks in whispers' album ~
it's been too long, my love!

Don't you recognise a fellow astronaut?
