As it's the first day of the year, I thought I'd share one of my favourite lines of poetry: (and live by love though the stars walk backward). The soul quivering line, surprise surprise, is plucked from one of my favourite poets E. E. Cummings' dive for dreams. What an enchanting sentiment to step into 2017 with.

(trees are their roots

trust your heart
if the seas catch fire
(and live by love
though the stars walk backward)
honour the past
but welcome the future

never mind a world
with its villains or heroes

and tomorrow and the earth)
