I was absolutely gutted to hear that Harry Dean Stanton had moved on this morning.
He had some stellar roles throughout his career, but to me he'll always be Andie Walsh's father. Pretty in Pink was a film that gave me tremendous comfort during my formative years and spoke to me like no other.
We are never truly alone.
